As a first year, Jane wanted to reach out and meet more like-minded people with similar career interests in the health field. She felt that her understanding of the different careers in the health field was somewhat naive and incomplete, so she joined DEM to explore and learn more about the various pre-health tracks. After joining, she had the chance to interact with upperclassmen who have more experience, which helped her become more aware of what her personal goals and aspirations are and how she should approach them. After medical school, she hopes to study the human brain in depth through surgery and research. Jane likes to spend time with her family and friends, try different foods, and play volleyball.
