Kerwin joined DEM to find like-minded individuals who had the same passion as him in the healthcare field. Going out to DEM was a way for Kerwin to get out of his comfort zone to grow both professionally and personally in hopes of one day facing the real world after he graduates. Since joining DEM, Kerwin has gained an amazing support system along with a second family who he learned a lot from whether that be healthcare related, professionally, or personally. Through DEM, Kerwin has improved his social skills along with his professionalism which will both help him one day become a successful healthcare worker. In the near future, Kerwin plans on applying to medical school after undergrad and one day become a successful general or cardiothoracic surgeon.
